Hi. I will be starting my Masters degree this fall - specializing in Environmental Impact Assessment. For my thesis component I intend to partner up with a consulting firm or a not-for-profit org in the environment sector on an EIA project. My objective is to study EIA methodology in an industrial sector such as waste management, water treatment/supply, etc. and examine issues such as sectoral BAT, compliance and application of host country/international standards, environmental management, etc.
I am aiming to participate in research, field work, report writing, etc. and to complete a thesis through practical, hands-on research in an interesting sector. Note, I am not seeking a thesis advisor – simply an organization willing to partner up to facilitate my thesis work (based in Ottawa, Ontario or surrounding areas).
