Toronto's International Centre will, once again, host the Largest Indoor Farm and Equipment Show in Canada!
The 26th edition of the Canadian International Farm Show returns to the International Centre in Mississauga and will be showcasing all of the leaders of Canada's thriving AG market.
The 2012 Canadian International Farm Show will feature three days of renewable energy educational seminars in association with the Canadian Wind Energy Association and The Canadian Solar Industry Association.
The 2012 Renewable Energy feature will also highlight a presentation by Mark Stumborg of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada/Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada. This presentation will provide an overview of the Biomass Inventory Mapping and Analysis Tool (BIMAT), which provides a GIS-based analysis of the location and sustainable amounts of selected agricultural crop residues, forest-based residues, and sorted municipal woody wastes. The BIMAT tool was developed in cooperation with AAFC Research Branch, Canadian Forest Service (NRCan – CFS) and Environment Canada, and funded from the Canadian Biomass Innovation Network (CBIN). A second aspect of the presentation will be a description of the applied research to develop alternative harvest systems for collecting agricultural residues.
