While I cannot take the material myself, perhaps I can help by making a suggestion? Having worked in the fungal sciences for a few years, I can safely say that hardwood shavings are a valuable resource for fungal inoculum and/or culture medium. Have you tried contacting any local or provinical mushrooms growers? They may be able to use the entire lot, or at least some of it. Just a thought, I hope it helps.

Have you considered using this material for heating & hotwater. My company represents manufacturers that are leaders in turning waste products into energy. That pile of waste is very valuable. If you would like to know more about what is involved contact me, I would be glad to help.

I am interested in knowing what came of this. I would also like to contact Andy as I have wood waste from log home manufacturing to look for ways of dispersal. Thanks, Brell

We may be interested, but it would have to be contanminant free, no potential metals (shavings, slivers) or chemicals. And the biggest problem would be that it would have to be shipped to Manitoba.
